This piece of Kiwi wall art contains paua shell Maori designs, with each piece beautifully surface carved as well.  The overall effect is stunning.

The frame measures approximately 29.6cm x 19.3cm x 2.7cm (11 5/8' x 7 5/8' x 1 1/8').  It has a sawtooth hanger on the back.

Inside the frame are a native New Zealand paua shell fish hook, circle with koru design, and a twist.

Each has a Maori spiritual meaning.  The fish hook signifies peace, prosperity, good health, and safe travel over water.  The koru design signifies peace, tranquility, new beginnings, and positive change.  And the twist represents everlasting love or friendship between two people or families.
