This extra large full size 40cm NZ Greenstone Mere is an absolute beauty.
These days it is very, very difficult to get these large taonga, even to get large pieces of New Zealand greenstone. So if you are interested in owning this beautiful piece of pounamu, don't delay. We don't know when we will have another this size.
The mere was carved in New Zealand from New Zealand pounamu (greenstone).
The type of greenstone it is made from is called kawakawa. Kawakawa greenstone has a beautiful mid-green colour.

The wrist strap on this greenstone mere is made from plaited cord. The strap is for decorative purposes only - we do not recommend hanging the mere from its cord or holding the mere by its cord (and not the handle) as the strap may fail. We take no responsibility if you choose to ignore these recommendations.

Purchase the mere on its own, or on a carved tulip wood stand.
You can also get the stand engraved, to mark a special occasion. The front edge of the stand can have a gold engraved plaque added, or the stand can be paua engraved. Choose up to 6 words for the engraved plaque, or up to 18 characters for the paua engraving. The paua engraving needs to be in CAPITAL letters to show up the paua properly.
Additional words can be added for additional cost - email us if you want to add more words, and we can work out the cost. Please note that engraved items cannot be returned, aside from the unlikely event that the engraving has been done wrong. Allow a week for engraving to be done.
